NWH toilets making gurgling noises and water comes splashing up,

Sounds like it might be your bathroom/plumbing vent pipe (not an expert) it's usually located in the roof

That happened in our rental house. It may be a broken sewer line or could be the pipes under your house. Ours started with the washer backing up to the kitchen sink. Then the gas line. Then when they turned on the gas, the shower bubbled the toilet. Complete repiping of the sewer lines. Glad it wasn't our bill.

Txbutterfly : if it's you and several Neighbors like you mention, it could easly be caused by main sewer line being cleaned by sewer cleaning trucks. Their use of high pressure jets and vacuum equipment can cause pressure differences in the system. This pressure difference can cause the symptoms you are seeing. If it is caused by this it should only be short lived. If it continues there could be other problems.

One additional thing to add. When this condition ends go and flush all of your toilets and run all faucets to make sure all of your p-traps are filled with water. What you described can cause the water in the p-traps to be removed allowing sewer gas to vent into the house through the empty traps.

Txbutterfly : There is lots of work being done on NP. Maybe sediment from that is causing you and your neighbors problems. I hope it gets fixed soon.

They are flushing the poop lines at the end of middle creek. Keep your toilet lids closed and flush them all later today. Nothing to worry about.
