Cat stuck in a tree. Earlier today I saw someone who was looking for help in getting a cat down from a tree. By the time I could find the link, I couldn't find the post. Anyhow Neville Mann from the Woodlands has been rescuing cats from trees for years. Here's his info.

It would be hard to go without water for 3 + days, as well as without food, for cats or for people.

I remember putting our tall wood ladder against the tree when our cat was stuck in a tree. We left the ladder there overnight. The next morning our cat was meowing at the back door. Whew!

These days I would not let a cat go outside. Back then we didn't know how dangerous it could be outside for cats.

My porch kitties go up my trees all the time thinking they are gonna get that squirrel. I keep telling them it ain't happening and they keep doing it. They always come back down, no issues.

It's been 5 days now no food water and tree people went to get cat down and the rascal went higher up into tree. Still there about 40 feet up. CRYING. There during the storm and today storm again and maybe tomorrow. Tree people said not to put food at base of tree. ?????? This area has had coyotes and cats killed so maybe we do not want coyotes to come???? Tree folks were given $180 I heard. Owner of cat is elderly. VERY SAD. VERY SAD. STILL HIGH UP IN THE TREE, CRYING.

SummerSneeze :
THEY MAY BE the folks who tried to rescue and failed because cat went higher. I heard the rescuers were from the Woodlands. Posibly they may come back and try again.

Neither have I, but every once in a while I hear/read about one. Obviously the person who first posted about it knew about one.
