I wish Mike Piazza had taken that bat that Clemens threw at him and stuck it where the sun don't shine on Clemens. One of the cheapest shots I've ever seen in sports. Clemens is a no-go item for me. This was not too long after Clemens hit Piazza in the head with a fastball. Not to mention his effusive use of 'roids.

Ticagro : I was just going to comment that he was an *** during his playing days. Maybe he's calmed down since (getting off the steroids) retiring. Too bad the 'Stros got rid of his kid.

eighteen : The most unbelievable part of that whole Clemens / Piazza debacle was that when asked why he threw the bat at Piazza, he claimed (really, this is a true story) "I thought it was the ball." I kid you not, you can even clearly see him mouth it to the umps in the video, and he repeated the claim to the press post-game. He'd been playing the game since he was a child, he played college ball, minor league ball, countless seasons at MLB level - and he expects people to believe that in that moment he thought the bat was the ball? He doesn't yet know the difference between a ball and a bat?
And even so, it's somehow better that you thought you were throwing the BALL at Piazza as he was running down the baseline? As if that's a normal thing to do? The guy is a dirtbag, pure and simple.

I was going to go but forgot about it. I have some stuff that would be cool to sign. Like old newspapers of him when he 1st was coming back to Houston. Was the lines long

I would guess the signing of autographs went on for about an hour and everyone got their items signed. You were limited to no more than two items signed.

Why would they open a *****s in Atascocita when there's one at the Mall? I doubt there's enough business to support both.
