"Going beyond the badge!
Recently, Officers Ipina, Cristerna, and Cockman out of Kingwood didn't just assemble a trampoline; they built smiles and embraced community spirit. It's these moments that make our officers special."

Guess this explains why they don't respond when you call them

eighteen :
I hate to be a grouch here, but...
Were they doing this on the clock, or in their spare time?
Because, police officers cost something like $100/hr when you include equipment cost, support staff, health and benefits, etc...So, if three officers spent 20 mins on this, it cost about $100 of taxpayer money to help fix someone random person's trampoline...

Joe : I'm sure it took longer that since they're doing it wrong

Joe : I had that as thought as well. It was still kind of them to offer assistance.

We pay plenty of taxes to COH. Its nice for their police officers to give back. I would be nice if the City Works people would get in the game and time the lights on KW Drive and 494. They don't even have to do anything special, just their jobs.

Airborne319 : If the officers were on the clock, it's not really "giving back" in any meaningful sense. I hope my tax dollars go toward making the city safer, and to paying police officers well for doing that job.

It's kind of like if the city paid a lawyer $100/hr to handle the city's legal issues, and instead he started fixing someone's trampoline while still billing $100/hr...it's nice for the random trampoline owner, and a rip off to everyone else.

CoH officers take a million years to respond to any call because they're so short staffed, plus call volume is insaaaane this time of year. It's a cute warm & fuzzy piece but to use the resources of 3 officers for something like trampoline assembly is kind of embarrassing. Would not have posted this, HPD.🙃

Joe - You're making an assumption to complain about the police helping someone. You don't actually know if they are on the clock or not.

mutton : Really, for all we know a kid called 9-1-1 because they weren't satisfied about the trampoline situation. We're dealing with Gen-Alpha nowadays.

Airborne319 : They are obviously in uniform on someone's clock.
