buffaloglenn : I seen it was Houston, but still. When I worked as a Teachers Aide in California years and years (ok…and years) ago, there was many students who would use library as a safe cool place to read books, do homework, etc. until Parents could pick them up. It's just a sad reminder of how the world has changed.

I say again, Teachers are underpaid. I don't think I could do it.

So are they trying to say that Houston students aren't using enough of the libraries to keep them open. Do the Houston schools have so much trouble they need discipline centers more than libraries??
