While walking my dog this morning along Timber Shade is Fosters Mill Village, I came across a key on a little tag. Written on the tag were two phone numbers. One was on the front, the other on the back. The key was a blank key, small and what could look like a post office box key. I thought it odd, that it was a blank key, phone numbers on it so my old law enforcement skills was telling me exactly that. On my way home I found another one on the same street that wasn't there earlier on my walk. Don't call the number or it could be someone looking for personal info, or someone with an interesting employment opportunity. I shared the key with a neighbor to tell them it looked like a scam. My great neighbor just sent me a text that she mentioned was an old Tic ToK scam.
Beware and make sure you tell your kids not to call the number.

It could be someone pranking whoever owns the phone number. Buy several keys and write a phone number on it, place them wherever. Said phone number will receive multiple calls/texts about their "lost key." Basically annoying them.

I've "heard" of people doing the same to their buddies at work with magazine subscriptions. Not that I would ever do that...

Yeah, kids put their friends numbers on them and their friends gets a bunch of calls and texts about their "lost" key. Akin to writing your friend's number on the bathroom stall "for a good time".

cbear : It is ridiculous how many stupid calls I get a day! I hope no one ever puts my number on a dang key!
Not sure what all you would say to them, but I'm sure it would be entertaining
