Looking for someone to partly disassemble a playset, move it to my new house (1.5 miles) and reassemble. Does anyone have a contact? 4951

Look up Fired Up Assemblers .It is a company owned by firefighters that started a business that assembles/disassembles/transports playsets and other structures as a 2nd job.  They get very good reviews. I saved the info after reading about them somewhere else because we plan on getting grandson a play set when he is a bit older.  I also liked the idea that we would be helping our first responders. *I just noticed that they are listed on Kingwood.com's business and services page under "Handy man and Home Repair Services"

@teatime:
They were the first ones I contacted and they wanted $600 which I thought was very steep. I'm going to continue to shop around! Thanks for the suggestion though Emoticon

@aggiebutterfly: probably because it costs money to be Bonded and Insured. Not using someone who is more of a gamble than a good deal.

Yep - nailed it.  Legitimately insured will cost a lot more that two guys and a truck.  Just depends on what risk you want to take.  4951

And they are a pain to disassemble and reassemble- been there done that. I'd rather just assemble a brand new on than to take it apart and reassemble. Things shift over the years- topography will be different at the new house- just a royal paint to get old bolts back into old holes and then try to level.$600 is cheap AND hello..... Firemen!!!!! 4951
