Since I am not a good cook.... I am in charge of the wine and food snick snacks that go with it for Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc... (love Pate' with those thick tiny bread toasts, and fancy cheeses)

@Traveler500: Same here. I love serving a small Brie (warm) with chopped walnuts or candied pecans, drizzled with honey, usually on a raised serving dish or stand alone serving dish.
Also mixed Kalamata olives, a spreadable herbed cheese like Boursin, a dilled havarti, or prosciutto and mozzarella, on a sectioned serving tray.
If you want a cheese that stands out there a heavenly one called “barely buzzed” by Beehive that is dusted in coffee and lavender. Amazing and a sure hit.
Hummus and veggies are also good.
Nothing fancy, available at most grocery stores, but a little step up from the typical sour cream dips and jarred salsa and queso. (Yuck!) 4951
