Very disappointing that when you purchase items on kingwood.com and meet with the sellers to always check the product. Very sad that people will sell you non-working condition items. Please verify the product because people will take advantage of you. I  purchased a baby gate and the door will not close. Wish she would have mentioned this when selling the item, but I should also checked and not to be so trusting. 4951

That is said, and yes, it pays to ask questions. 4951

I agree. I need a cheapish computer monitor, but I have been reluctant to buy a used one from here because I feel rude asking them to plug it into a computer to make sure it actually works. 4951

I'm tired of buying used things. I'm over it. Go buy new, do yourself a favor of headache and frustration. 4951

@gigem09:

Don’t feel rude about that, seems like a fine request to me. I sell stuff like that on here all the time, an don’t mind buyers testing stuff out one bit. 4951

@detachedgarage: You should make the seller aware.  I think they may not have realized it was faulty.  I would want to know if I had sold you a defective item and I would return your money.  Give it a try!

If it's one that you have the 4 thingys you keep turning (2 on each side, bottom and top)till tight you must have them all exactly even. Then you have to keep turning the 4 thingys the same amount of times, each one, so tight, almost till you ruin your wall. Having them even and tight the door will eventually line up and close. Its very tricky.

And no I did not sell them this item....lol I bought 2 new walk throughs and it took me 2 hours installing and almost returned them for same reason, doors wouldnt click shut, because I didn't read the directions first...lol

Had a guy try to sell me empty box one time or at least a box with bricks in it.  I was buying a winch for my brother-in-law.  When I told him I needed to look in the box, he had all taped up, he got mad and said he could not do business with someone that didn't trust him.  What????   He took the box back and drove off.  4951

@Traveler500: Probably the easiest item to scam.  Could be a CZ and unless you are a jeweler, how would the buyer know?

Usually them baby gates needed to be tightened on all four corners to the wall for it to be aligned the locking mechanism. If you did that and it still doesn’t than contact that seller for a refund or blast their name on here for others to avoid, lol! 4951

@TexasTideFan: Probably have better luck and safer to sell a diamond ring to a jeweler.   4951

@TexasTideFan:

 I have an Appraisal with the ring that I just paid to have done. ($50 for appraisal) But I plan on meeting "whoever" may want to purchase it at either my bank or the jeweler (they have security).   It is an excellent diamond.  I bought the diamond before the setting. I use to have clearance at the Infomart and Furniture Mart in Dallas where many diamonds are sold in Texas. So I was able to specify exactly what I wanted!! I may just put it on Craigslist or eBay to cast a wider net... It is expensive. Unfortunately, I no longer need it.   4951

 I tried that first. They won't  do it.    I have a different ring that is over 4 Ct. Marquis with 2 ct. in baguettes , Last appraisal MANY years ago was $46K,, and I tried to get Jewelers Bench to do a consignment deal,, but they said they did not do that.  (I've since decided to keep that one) But want to sell my engagement ring. They only want to sell THEIR stuff ,,,not yours. 4951
