Seems the time has come that women will no longer allow their concerns about this behavior to be dismissed.
@deltadawn:
But 20, 30 , 40 or more years later? Or son's birth mother was on Facebook last night detailing everything that happened since middle school and saying how she is crying and loving this #metoo movement.
I'm sure it's cathartic, but she's in her mid 50s and she's been in years of counseling, isn't there a time to move on. I'll never say 'get over it' because rape is nothing to 'get over', but pull yourself up and move on to the future!
IMO, confessing this past on a public forum had become a competition! I don't want my business shared with the world so I won't share what I don't want regurgitated 10 years from now!
I doubt there is a woman alive who has not had a situation arise where a man in a position of power has not made a pass or made uncomfortable comments to her. I know I was and I took control at that time! I was never taught how to, but I have always been a feisty *****.
And I agree with
@SmurfySuzi...put a stop to it when it happens and not years later. We need to teach our young girls and boys what to do should a harassment start our what to do in an assault situation. 4951
