@ZMAN:  I don't know about that. Constantly drinking high caffeine drinks could raise your blood pressure and if you had a weak blood vessel/artery, a hemorrhage could result.

Right, but its just like anything else, too much is always bad. Eating to many cheeseburgers will give you liver damage and/or a heart attack, but that doesn't necessarily mean cheeseburger are dangerous. 4951

That's hard for me to believe energy drinks did this. I'm pretty gullible at times but I'm not believing this. 4951

ZMAN,
Drinking a McDonalds latte, a Mountain Dew and one energy drink within a 2-hour period should also not kill you.

We are not talking about sustained bad eating habits, but 3 drinks in a 2-hour period of time.

And so, this healthy teen did not have any prior heart conditions. 4951

When I was in college I called that combination breakfast. And Throw in a snickers bar for good measure. 4951

That should down right scare anyone not to drink those things!!  I always refused to buy them for my kids/Teen...  (but they could always talk "Granny" into buying them... was NOT happy) 4951

My name is MarT and I am a sugar free Rock Star addict.  I used to warn my boys they would burn out their adrenal glands. Then I was sneaking them and hiding them in my  pantry, true story, ha ha.  Went cold turkey, am cured now.  Honestly, the only thing that made me quit was artificial sweeteners. 4951

@FoFa: After the swelling is over, the cranial cover will be reinstalled- he did not lose a significant part of his brain.Having said that- I would not recommend doing that.
