Do any of the local parks have playgrounds geared toward toddlers?  I visited a park in Houston that had smaller sized equipment and it had a fence and gate.  Our just turned 2 Grandson has discovered running and is a bit hard for his old grandparents to keep up with when he bolts unexpectedly. So many of our neighborhood parks are next to fairly busy streets.  We would love to find one that we felt was a little safer.

The elementary schools may be your best bet since they start at Kindergarten... Try Willow Creek Ele in KingsPoint    or maybe Greentree Ele...  those might be good ones to check.. It's been a while since my kids attended WCE,, so can't remember the whole playground but it is large. 4951

We bought a Rainbow play system for our girls when they were little..  Expensive but great investment as it last a LONG time.. and its weighted very well. So you don't have to worry about it rocking over!   It is designed to hold adults as well!!   I sold ours a few years ago during a yard sale,,, someone asked me about it, and I said SURE.  (mine are older teens now)  If anything...   go by their business and your child can play all they want while you just "Look" Emoticon    4951

There is an indoor playground at Kingwood 1st Baptist church. It's great for toddlers. Check the hours out online.  4951

I agree with those who said elementary schools. Elm Grove has a park on Rustling Elm that has a section for little ones that might be easier too. 4951

@teatimeMy friend, check out these (2) Parks in Humble:  The Hirsch Memorial Park (in Downtown Humble) at 100 North Houston Avenue, and / or the Schott Park (across from Blue Bell) at   8510 Will Clayton Drive...  They're actually pretty close to each so perhaps you can check out both and see which one is more fun!
