Ok - I'm lost. What kind of issues? I mean, I have a family dentist that I see twice a year, or more if he tells me I've been a bad girl and need to floss more and therefore have a cavity. So, typically, I don;t have any issues. Dental ones, that is.And yes, dental care available to us here is wonderful! 4951

I like those little plastic flossers vs. regular floss. I hate having to wrap floss around my fingers. 4951

Sikes at downtown dental in Cleveland or Jones with Jones family dentistry in cleveland. You probably won't find better unless you leave the state..😁

Jones doesn't use drugs or gas so if that helps you decide between the two.....😎

I use the plastic flossers too, but my DH has to use the normal floss because he has a permanent retainer. 4951

Try Dr. Woody Barksdale and  Dr. Neal Hastings, DDS  They are across from the KW library... should be done with flood repairs. Dr. Hastings is Dr. Woodys nephew   They will not PUSH whitening or getting rid of your silver fillings , etc.. just to make money!!!** Only draw back is that because he is so good,,, it can take 6-7 months to get your cleaning appt scheduled!! They are that busy. However IF you have an EMERGENCY.... they will get you in. The Dr. side is easier to see than the hygiene side.   He is excellent!!  Unless you need a Periodontist!  If you have Perio, disease then that is a different conversation.   4951

I am glad to know that flossing is better than the Water Pik or any other thing.  Flossing is way cheaper tooEmoticonAnd I gotta say, dental care in the US is way better than in other places.  lol

@Fallon: Don't get me wrong, the quality of dental care in the UK is excellent and at a fraction of the cost that it is here, it just so happens that most Brits don't prioritize it the way it is here.As for the Water-Pik vs Floss, I tried the sticks but found them too wide to go between my teeth and the floss picks don't seem to be able to fit in my mouth around my back teeth so I can't seem to win, that is what led me to the more expensive tools.

Only REG. floss stays tight against the tooth.    And you can't wrap those "sling shot" flossers around the tooth.  They get loose after about the 2nd tooth.  You MUST scrap each tooth well.  We only recommend those for people with handicap issues.....  or people with very short fingers, etc..   ***Because Dental is a small community,,, I will NOT correct anyone on a Dentist recommendation that I know bad things.... If you recommend someone that I know has had issues with the State Dental Board, or just tries to SELL stuff,,, or does not follow basic rules,,(behind the scenes),, I can't bad mouth anyone.  However, if you have special issues or questions, you can PM me.  I will say there are quite a few I would NOT take my dog to... There are bad apples in every bunch.  I have done temp work for almost every DDS in our area!!   Dentist's are some of the best actors in front of patients.   4951
