She has a legal right to be in the road. A bicycle, or trike is considered to be a vehicle. Slow down or leave earlier 4951

This road is too narrow to share a bike, she's not wearing a helmet, and it's a school zone.

@Summerbreeze:

the timing of this during the busiest time...i mean i get the " let me kill 2 birds with one stone" by exercising while taking my kid to school but when u come racing down the greenbelt not even slowing down to check if traffic is.coming with a kid in the back is just plain ignorant and dangerous.... 4951

Exactly.  She could legally bike down Kingwood drive at 5:30 in the morning, with no helmet, and no reflective gear.  Does that make it smart?  I think you know the answer.  Does it make her a Darwin award candidate?  Yes, yes it does.  It really doesn't matter what the law is; the bike rider in an accident with a car loses the battle, 100% of the time, every time.  4951

its dangerous ****** that is all im saying but what else should we expect from a liberal who.is always worried about what their rights are lmao....

@princecharming:
Wow seriously??? Take a chill pill!!! Maybe if more people did that instead of driving their precious snowflakes 3 blocks to school Tree Ln wouldn’t be so busy. The only problem I see is that she’s not wearing a helmet. She’s perfectly legal- riding on the right side of the road close to the curb. I mean how much did she delay your trip-30 seconds? Please spare me your fake concern for her safety. It’s all about you being inconviennced. And no need to use profanity. So sick of people not knowing the law🙄

PS - you aren’t exactly concerned with safety pulling out your camera to take pictures? Worry about yourself

This is America. We're raised from birth to believe that nobody can tell us what to do, that if you want to do it, go for it. Clearly the people pushing that agenda didn't intend for you to ride your fat bike in the middle of a narrow lane during rush hour, but don't tell the American that. Cause then you're a racist. I still want to know what city planner decided to make the narrowest residential streets I've seen that aren't in a town whose space is limited by history or geography. Kingwood was a forest prior to making these streets. No limitations on space or topography, why couldn't they have made streets wide enough for cars to park on both sides and still have proper 2-way traffic pass. oh, and ****** SIDEWALKS 4951

@Reivax: I hear what you are saying on the street width, but they do have greenbelts that traverse the entire area so the thought was probably that the bikers could take the greenbelts, rather than Tree Lane which was designed as a significant through-street.

@buffaloglenn: I like the greenbelt idea, except it's a haven for predators. By predators, I mean mosquitoes, lol. After the floods but before they did that airplane-based spraying, we went on a family walk down our local greenbelt and we got about 100 yards before we turned around. 4951
