Had one cross right in front of me on Forest Cove Drive, right before the firehouse this morning. It was checking out the recently picked up debris areas. It just ignored me, it was dark at 6:20 AM. I passed by about a dozen feet from it. 4951

@FoFa: That is not a good sign. They are looking for food. I hope you guys either lock and load or hire trappers to get them.

Looking for food, that's pretty much what they do, besides breed. 4951

@FoFa: The problem is they are looking for food in areas humans frequent and thus starts missing pets and then possibly kids walking to school being attacked.

I've seen them in Bear Branch and Kings River. I would guess they are all over this place doing their thing.

I saw a wild hog the other night on Mills Branch just as I turned off KW Dr. At first I thought it was a hippo. It's official, Hurricane Harvey fried my brain! Why would there be a hippo in KW?! 4951

@CBP210:

Small pets are food, depends where you are on the food chain.

It's been my experience they typically will stay away from humans. Not where they live (too many food choices), but people themselves.
We are probably closer to them almost on s daily basis, than most people think, and they go unnoticed, ghosts basically. 4951

There was a large bobcat on the greenbelt in Bearbranch a couple of weeks ago chasing rabbits. Some animals may be displaced after the flooding. 4951
