I'm so tired of my truck smelling like cat spray. It's like a magnet for cat pee. I've washed my vehicle twice a week for the past two weeks, but it still smells. It's so annoying. He must be spraying everyday. I like cats, but I hate un-neutered tom cats. There has to be a female cat in heat somewhere near my house. 4951

  Pets are supposed to be kept on leashes or inside.. It's the law! (Cats too?)  I have a neighbor around the corner that lets his 2 Rottweilers run free every morning....   Im sure they are normally friendly.. but you can never be sure!  When my King Charles Spaniel was only 10 weeks old (very small) My neighbor across the street was letting their Golden Retriever run around while he mowed.. The dog tried to attack my new puppy and my small child. (she was holding puppy on leash)  Luckily my hubby grabbed his dog just in the nick of time.. and I grabbed my child and puppy.  It all happened SO FAST!!  The guy felt so bad saying his dog had NEVER EVER done that before.  We believed him,,,, but there can be a first time.  (I know this is not normal for a Golden!!) JS 4951

@Traveler500 exactly why you keep your animals on a leash.  While we love them and give them a lot of our human emotions, they are animals and we do not know what they are thinking or what they will do.

@Fallon:

  So true!  Many years ago We had the sweetest German Shepherd that loved everyone... but she hated the teenage boys next door. (They did do stuff to deserve it,, long list)  Anyhow, we had to put up an iron fence down our driveway with a gate to protect them!  Our dog kept trying to dig under our reg fence to get to them.. so we had to pour cement into the ground by fence (chicken wire didn't help)...  This was in Walden..Had we not been vigilant she would have torn them up! 4951

Put some mothballs in a few bags and set them out each night all around your truck.
@Fallon: @Grimmie:That is the worst!  It is so hard to get rid of that smell.I can tell you we tried to keep our cats out of our house plants years ago by placing mothballs on the dirt.  When we came home the cats were batting the mothballs all around the house.Hope you have better luck than we did if you go the mothball route!

There is some stuff called Cat Away they sell at Pet Smart.  Just not sure if it works.  I put mothballs out by my front door a few years ago.  A stray cat had started showing up and the smell was awful.  It did eventually work.  Or the cat just went away on their own.  lol

   I tried some similar cat spray to use on some new furniture we bought to keep our cat from scratching it up... but I think it just made her like it more! LOL 4951

One time I saw a lady taking a cat for a walk on a leash. It was climbing a tree and she was holding the leash. It was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen.
I hate cats, but leashing them seems rediculous. 4951

Really not fair to the pet, they could get hit by a vehicle. 4951

I'm so tired of my truck smelling like cat spray.

@Grimmie: There is a neutralizer for the cat spray - I think you get it at Lowe's or Home Depot. As bad as you are describing, you may have to literally douse the car seats in the neutralizer and seal it up for a few days. Why do you leave the windows down --- just being nosy.? 4951

Cats normally hate the smell of citris, maybe some orange smelling cleaning stuff on and around the truck would help. 4951

The only thing my cat doesn't like the smell of is dog poop and other cats smell. We go for a walk every night and he sprays our own front yard and it keeps all the other kitties and dogs away. But I don't know how that stuff works in the real world it just does. 4951
