"Between the middle of July and Sept. 1, bitcoin rallied from less than $2,000 to nearly $5,000 per coin. More recently, in case you've missed it, bitcoin tumbled -- and I do mean tumbled -- $2,000 per coin in a matter of 14 days. Between hitting its all-time high on Sept. 1 through Sept. 15, bitcoin lost just a shade over $2,000 per coin and hit $2,951. Over this two-week period, bitcoin's market cap shrank by $33 billion, and it pushed the aggregate cryptocurrency market cap of more than 900 digital currencies below $100 billion after they touched $161 billion just two weeks prior."Has rebounded again since then.  Probably not an investment for the faint of heart...or novice. You can get a pretty severe case of whiplash. 4951

The whole problem with crypto currency is its not tangable. It goes into a imaginary wallet in a imaginary account and accessed only by the ultimate bulls#¡t place called the internet.

Walks hand and hand with this imaginary generation.

Nothing is new kids have a listening ear.

Point a to b is the same you imaginary people zig zag go through stop signs and school zones to get to the same place. Not to mention you playing on the phone looking on the internet instead of focusing on the task it hand. 4951

@Ebola:

All money is imaginary. When my job pays me its by direct deposit into a account which then direct deposits money to all my lenders. There is no actual tangible currency changing hands. Its all 1s and 0s. If you wanted you could always cash out bitcoin into dollars and carry it around just the same as you could with whats in your bank account. 4951

The banks aren't buying it directly yet, but I'm sure they will be in the future.There are a lots of different companies that will buy your bitcoin and send you and instant transfer of cash to your bank, Its pretty much the same as doing any other currency exchange. 4951

You can buy gold, silver, any type of currency, or whatever the hell you want with your Bitcoins. It's no longer just for buying bazookas & Meth... The Feds don't like it because they can't track you & it directly competes with all bogus Federal Reserve system. I just don't like the extreme value shifts. 4951
