Anyone ever had one of those mosquito systems installed in their backyard? We're kind of close to a trail, and our backyard gets pretty swamped with mosquitos; makes the pool hard to enjoy at times. I have tried a few things, but they're always just temporary solutions. Any tips or ideas? 4951

The little that I know about them is that water quality is everything. They can install the most expensive nozzles they have and if water is poor, they will clog in 3 months. 4951

We use Mosquito Free Life. He's doing my yard today and does my neighbor's and mom's yard as well. He comes once a month and we have a huge yard and have not had any problems since using him. It's been a lifesaver! 4951

@lisapisabobisa: Thanks for the tip; seems this might be exactly the kind of solution I was looking for. Willing to share about how much they charge per visit? It's not bad for us all the time, but we have a gathering  next weekend and afraid that the mosquitos will be too bad, especially after all this rain.Even the 'special events' option might work for us.

I believe the price depends on the size of your yard. We used him first for an event to see if we were pleased and haven't stopped the service ever since. Give Andy a call. You don't have to be home and he just emails the invoice. He's very nice and always accommodating. 4951

I have one with misting heads around the perimeter of my back yard.  We have a pool and live across the street from the nature preserve and I never have an issue with them.  Step over to my side yard where I have no footprint and the mosquitoes will carry you away.  I've used Riptide in the past but have been using Sector for a couple of years now.  Works great.  4951
