@CC1974:

My vote would be Chuy's, or if you want to go downtown, El Tiempo on Richmond.  Just depends how far you want to go.  Margaritas are good at both places.  4951

I would definitely recommend ChaChis in town center. They honestly have the best margaritas I've ever had in my life. Just order the Bubba Rita. The food is standard Tex Mex but the overall environment and the service is awesome. 4951

Pappasitos is always high on the list but the one in Humble is not their best location. Really depends on how far you want to go. If around here I'd do Chachi's, short ride home after a couple margaritas. If downtown there are lots of choices that are better. 4951

Best for what criteria?

Authentic
Service
Good food and lots of fun
Best margaritas
Best overall experience

Chuy's, Cilantro's or Pappasito's would all be good for entertaining company. If you have time for the drive, The Original Ninfas on Navigation is a great choice. 4951

You want Mexican or TexMex....bit of a difference. Most are looking for the latter. 4951

The place (although the name escapes me) accross the street from Ninfa's on Navigation is fantastic. 4951

It's meat and beans on a tortilla, pretty much all the same. 4951

@CantStandTex: sounds like you need a drink. It's still a bit early, but hey, whatever works.

@ForeCPA90: There is an El Tiempo across from Ninfa's.I prefer TexMex and my favorite local places are Lupe and Los Cucos. If I am up for driving I like Guadalajara in the Woodlands or the location off 59 in Houston. El Tiempo is also good. 4951

@gigem09: Guadalajara is one of my favorites as well, I have only been to the one downtown though. 4951
