This really bothers me about this possible space. Community center but the community can't afford to use it...

And if you look at the calendar of events, it's more of a "retirement" center than "community" center. $400 for 3 hours to use a room that's already paid for by our taxes?! And there's nothing of interest in there, either. It's pretty much just a room.  
aid for. By our taxes. I could get behind a $40 cleaning fee but that's about my limit on something I already own. Of course, that's another $160. I guess that's one way to keep the building looking clean and new...just price it at a point where no one would even consider using it.And aren't "community" centers supposed to provide at least something for the community? Maybe a few ping-pong and/or pool tables? Anything at all for anyone under the age of 70?
