You would of thought they might of wanted those to be finished before school starts. Just think of the traffic then or delays. 4951

Why on earth did they not put that section behind the guardrail?

@Fallon: I thought the same thing.  They could have used some of the dirt they dug out to fill on behind to guardrails to make it level for the sidewalk.  But on the other hand it is not a lot different than other older sidewalks around Kingwood.  The one on Woodland Hills near Northpark comes to mind.  It has been there for years.... there are some others too...

Why couldn't they have made the new sidewalks meandering through the woods like the older ones?  I don't feel comfortable walking so close to the traffic. The new sidewalks aren't pleasing to the eye. 4951

My guess is they don't own the property....they built on what they already owned. 4951

Why isn't anyone posing some of these questions to our Councilman Dave Martin for district E. All of the funding for these sidewalks comes out of the budget and is planned weeks and months ahead of time. 4951

It looks like they were built primarily on the City owned easement?

Yes, I meant the meandering trail that was questioned. 4951

It probably cost less to just go straight along the road instead of through the woods as well.  4951

Driving by one stretch of the sidewalk last night, heading towards the back of Kingwood, I realized that one section of the sidewalk is so narrow 2 people would not even fit side by side. Why on earth did they not put that section behind the guardrail?  COH seems to be asking for a lawsuit.

@Fallon: AMEN to that!!  I was hoping to be able to ride my bike to KWCC but that stupid section is so narrow that if one comes across another rider or walker, one of them will end up in the road.  I agree, lawsuit waiting to happen.
