Could be a terror / hate crime but from my experience, I'm not seeing it.1. No guarantee the car still functions after the hit. 2. Nice car for a 20 year old. Probably his pride and joy so he destroys it?  3. Could have waited for a clear shot. Less damage and easier getaway.Panic or road rage. I don't think he intentionally planned it.   4951

@beastmode: Of course, you wouldn't.  I am not even surprised you critique the tactics finding them inefficient.

@plakata: I have a lot of experience with terror born vehicle attacks. He didn't plan this out at all. Not like the baseball park terror attack is my point. I assume you think I'm defending him. I'm not. It looks like instant rage or panic, not buying weapons and finding out where Republicans play baseball.   4951

There's a video of him driving his car and BLM and anti-fa beating his car with baseball bats and sticks. If he did it on purpose, then he should go to prison for life. But if he feared for his life, then should those attacking his car go to jail for this ? One reporter was given a business card by a rioter. It had some name and rioters.com . It's a business. People saw busses bringing in the rioters. That's so dangerous. They don't care about that city or any laws. I don't like what this group of white nationalists were saying, but they have the right to say it just like other hate filled groups. 4951

@ET:

Then why not wait for a clear path? Much less damage and a better chance of getting away. He obviously wanted to get away, I get that part but there was a much easier way to commit the crime. 4951

Hard to say...really would have to see the whole event from well before the crash. Were people beating his car with bats before the crash? I don't know but I'm probably going to panic in that event despite being combat trained. One thing I did learn in that situation.is either step on it or hit reverse immediately. You don't want to sit in the kill zone.  4951

I don't commit terror attacks. Only trained in preventing them. After you see enough of them you kinda know what works. Then you go back to the drawing board on defeating it.  4951

@plakata: So do the police. They have not released any information only he was charged and they are investigating it further. It does appear though his airbag did not deploy from what I can see. I'm sure that will be a part of the investigation. When was it disabled? The computer will capture that info.I hope you never serve on a jury. I bet you can tell when people are guilty by looking at their hair style.

@beastmode: I will never serve on a jury but that bet, I bet you would lose it.  Airbags not deploying is the type of diversion I would use to confuse a jury.  If it didn't inflate you must acquit! The diversions to not call what happened what it was will continue.  You have come up with the "whoopsie I got momentarily angry" defense, seconded the possibility of fearing for his own life defense, and will eventually come up with others.  Jaywalkers cross streets at their own risk, the sunlight blinded him, the leg cramped thereby increasing pressure on the gas pedal...

@plakata: So you are exempt from jury duty. That explains a lot.

@beastmode: I am not exempt from jury duty but have been excused every time I have been summoned.Is this what you meant when threatened to bring out the skillful insult skills you acquired while serving in an insult outfit stationed in Philly's inner city?
