A new Asian restaurant offering simple, delicious and healthy menu options just opened this week in Kingwood. Spice Bowl is located towards the front of Kingwood, in the same shopping center as Cilantro's, Stein Mart, Palais Royal, etc.. I, along with a lot of you, have been excitedly waiting for this place to open since seeing the sign go up a while back. Well, the day finally arrived this week. But before we get too far into this introduction to Spice Bowl, I want to mention one thing...Get the Mongolian Sauce!! You'll thank me later.  Emoticon Blending time-honored Asian food with the American lifestyle, Spice Bowl offers a different approach for patrons; it’s a build-your-own concept where you can customize your own bowl of Asian cuisine. Meals on future visits to Spice Bowl are sure to be as unique as the first. Also, Spice Bowl uses only the finest selection of premium beef, chicken, and shrimp - 100% free of hormones, antibiotics and pesticides! You can actually see right on the menu board what farm your meat came from. How it works: Step up to the food presentation counter and build your own sensational Asian creation in a generous, eco-friendly, sugarcane bowl. Choose from...- Rice, noodles or salad- Garden fresh and daily chopped vegetables- Lean protein selections- Assorted sauces made in house dailyHere's a little history on how Spice Bowl came to be..."When both husband and wife have roots that run deep in the restaurant world, there’s a strong chance the tradition will continue. At least that’s how it is in our family. I grew up a world away – in China. My dad owned a cozy restaurant and I was always eager to help, even as a small child. I often asked him to spice things up, thinking that one day, customers may get bored with the same menu. Many years later, when I was living in the U.S., I continued to think about the next trend in fast-casual dining. I wondered if it was possible to mingle time-honored Asian food with the on-the-go American lifestyle and create simple culinary dishes that everyone would love? My husband, who owned another restaurant, agreed and we began our new restaurant adventure: Spice Bowl, a product of our combined life experience."  Emoticon So, Kingwoodians, spice things up and give it a try. Don't forget to grab a strawberry tea while you're there as well. I have a feeling it'll be a popular lunch spot for us here at KDC headquarters since it's so close.  EmoticonGood luck Spice Bowl, and welcome to Kingwood.  Emoticon

Who the hell eats a spicy bowl? Just give me spicy food in a bowl. No need to make the bowl spicy.

Probably started by someone who steals dogs walking around the community.

Goodness gracious!

My husband and I ate here yesterday.  It was very good.  My husband said he will return many times.  He likes his food spicy.  I am a wimp - do not like spicy food - you can get it without the spices added.  4951

It was pretty good.  We had a vegan bowl and son loved it! I am so picky on food and I asked if everything was fresh as we don't eat processed foods and yes, food is fresh.  We love the tea too. 4951
