Bear Branch, trotting down the street. No collar (the green collar is ours) - haven't taken to check for chip yet. Male, with (what looks like) sore skin. Desperately wants to come inside.

We just have him some water and hoses him down (didn't want to irritate skin too much!)

Please call/text if you recognize him! 412-527-5101 Loading Image... 4951

I hope his owner has seen a vet about that skin condition.  Emoticon 4951

I'm in line at the Vet right now to get him checked for a chip.

@HollyHobby - something tells me no. 4951

OMG - My heart is breaking for this little guy. Is he friendly with other dogs? I seriously might foster him and keep him a secret from my husband. No one should let their little fur family's skin get this bad.  4951

Oh poor tiny thing. Looks like mange which is curable. Thank you for not just ignoring him like so many would. 4951

Yes - he wants to be around my other dogs, but the Vet suggested I keep them all apart so now I have them separated. (My sons are outside with him, while my dogs are in with me.)UPDATE: No chip. Older - missing teeth and neutered. Definitely a skin condition of some kind. My boys bathed him with the OTC medicated hot spot shampoo and put some itch spray on him as well. We've given him water and a couple of soft treats - will feed him as well.If anyone CAN foster or take him until we can find owners or new home, it would be much appreciated as I just cannot take him (we're going away for a few days at the end of next week and I have no experience for mange or extra funds for another dog!). 4951

Have you tried to crate him at all? I have two dogs at home. I could watch him until the 11th but if the vet said not to let him around the other dogs, he would have to be crated or left outside (too hot for that). Has @lola seen this?  4951

Good thinking! I ended up bringing him inside and put him in a crate. I let my two out of the bedroom and they all started kind of going nuts - whimpering, pacing - I know they want to play. The Vet tech recommended separation bc mine are bigger and you never know how they'll all get along. My concern is fleas - we've managed to avoid a major infestation so far this Summer and I need to keep it that way! 4951

Poor baby. He looks neglected. Left outside and ignored! Look at the dark skin on his belly.
Does he seem to be scratching?
Give him a benadryl. I may have a capstar for him but can't bring until 630 tonight.

I am told Twyla's has taken in a dozen dogs this month!

If someone can step up for him, I'll go to bat for him!
I can't foster until Sept.but can help here and there on weekends.
He needs love!! 4951

Hey! So I just got a call from the owner! They're coming over to get Wayland (and I did ask that they bring pictures of him so I can verify they are the owners).@lola- I actually gave him a capstar, along with our grain-free food, water and some treats. And the boys gave him a bath and put anti-itch spray on him afterwards. 4951

I hope he isn't an outside dog! He needs treatment.

Tell owner you need to know. He has been around your kids.

Please ask who their vet is.

I feel bad for him going back.

You did good Ctl74 4951

I never asked - she only verified that the condition was from the fleas. (It was the teenaged daughter who picker her up - dog was from down the street.) I let her now that I gave him a capstar.Ugh - so much to learn. I'll remember next time! 4951
