Go to the home store in humble. It's full of Halloween and Christmas stuff. Made me want to gag.

Can we at least get thru summer before they put all that crap out?

From late August to early sept. I start plottin' & plannin'.

Come October I morph in to full blown holiday spirit mode.

Im thinking a cookie exchange this year. Simple, fun and provides mega varieties of Christmas cookies for Christmas week. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄Maybe a cookie and bar ( hold on, thats bar as in 'Dessert bars' )  just to mix up the variety.

I love it too!!! I can't wait! I've been watching Christmas movies on Hallmark late at night after hubs and kiddo are asleep. Christmas in July... love G-rated, cheesey Hallmark movies. 🎄🎅🏻 4951

Jessica, it's already out! Ugh I'm not ready to deal with it. I get my Christmas tree up about a week before Christmas and after all the presents are opened and food is consumed, the tree comes down. I literally drag it out the back door.

Christmas was great when the kids were little, now it's just boring. I do have my first grand baby so that will help.

We also now do Thanksgating every other year when the Aggies are playing LSU at home in College Station. Now that's super fun, we eat tiger meat instead of turkey, not really of course, every food item has an LSU name. I use yellow (penalty flag) napkins. I have football field tablecloths. We go all out. We invite our LSU friends and all extended family, we eat, drink, play flag football then everyone not going to the game go home and we all get dropped off at the stadium. It's so much fun. 4951

Ugh - all you holiday lovers should be force to spend every day from Black Fri to 9:00 PM Christmas Eve working retail- that would cure you of all that Holly Jolly BS!! 10 years of retail burned me out of the Holiday spirit. People in general are hateful and mean at Christmas. I absolutely refuse to step foot in any store on Black Fri. and never ever on Christmas Eve or the day before. I am a total fan of the Christmas' true meaning- though not into organized religion per se. And all the rest of it I hate. I put up the tree on or around the18th of Dec or when I get around to it- outside lights the same( last year it was the 21st) We've always celebrated Christmas simply- not spending outlandishly or Dying trying to recreate Norman Rockwell . Im not a Humbug I just truly appreciate the quietness and contemplation of Advent . The best holidays we've had just happened with no plans.  The whole retail scene was just hell I tell you.But y'all carry on and have fun 4951
