>> I don't ever delete to hide something I said, but if I make a mistake such as trying to post a link and The wrong link keeps popping up due to operator error then of course I want to delete something that is not going to be germane to what I am attempting to post.

@ZMAN: Within the first hour of posting it. After that, you can't. Sometimes, I would like to go back and tone down things I have said. I still meant to say them, but maybe soften the delivery. I don't like making people cry...well, that's a lie...I just don't want to have to see it, but still, the sentiment is there.

We like it when you are posting in in the heat of the moment, even when it hurts.But seriously, thats why I dont think we should have a delete feature (most message boards dont), and if we do it should be timed as well.What happens if you dont have it timed, is you end up with people going back later and deleting context from conversations after they cool off. Or deleting all their comments before quitting the site. 4951
