OK, yesterday I was working outside and was sweating so much I have a rash on my right leg. This was where my jeans were stuck to my leg most of the day soaked in sweat. It doesn't itch or burn at all, just looks bloodshot (no bumps or raised skin). Last time it took about ten days to go away. Any suggestions?

Thanks 4951

Ouch! I get this when I forget to use Glide under my exercise wear.
No suggestions really- try to leave affected area uncovered as much as possible 4951

@TexasTideFan:

That's pretty much zinc oxide. I don't think that will honestly help. This looks like busted blood vessels and doesn't itch, burn, or have raised spots. I believe this is more sweat than the heat. Maybe I have weird skin.

A quick Google search reveals that heat rash is caused by something clogging the pores which doesn't allow your skin to sweat in that area.  Several sites agree not to use any creams or ointments, but to expose it to air and keep it cool. 4951

@DVaz: I would try it anyway.  What you got to lose except about $5 and 10 days of dealing with that?   If I get heat rash from the exact same issue, this stuff works miracles.  It actually helped Shaq finish a basketball game one time.  4951

Use an epsom salt soak. It works wonders. 4951

If it doesn't itch or burn just leave it exposed to air- don't put anything on it. This is what mine looks like ( but not in a place I can expose 😱). It will go away in a couple of days. I don't treat mine unless said area gets more chafed by seams and starts to burn 4951
