Got a bird in my oven exhaust vent. Anybody ever dealt with this? I have conflicting advice on whether it is best to tear it all apart and remove them myself, get an expert to remove them (next question: who?), or just ride it out until the season is over and they leave.Option 3 is not appealing as it is a noisy little thing that only shuts up at night. On the other hand, I don't really want to hurt it.And before anyone asks, yes, I know how it got in and already have a fix ready to go, but I need the bird(s) out first. 4951
I would probably try turning the fan on and see if it caused the bird to fly out the way it came in. Have someone watch the exterior vent to see if it flies out when the fan is turned on inside. 4951
I kid you not...I googled "remove birds from oven exhaust fan" and up pops this company. Google really was a friend today. 4951
Birds cant taste the heat in peppers, not sure if smelling them would be any different??? Interesting idea though... Would definitely work if it was a squirrel. LOL    4951
Yeah, I didn't either. Not too surprising that this exists I guess but who would have thought.May have to give them a call....turned on the vent fan to see if I could get it to leave and heard it straining to turn, which I'm sure means that there is nest debris and stuff jammed in there. Hooray. 4951
