If you really want to see which of your neighbors don't give a rip about you and other neighbors, just sit outside during the 4th, Memorial day or anytime fireworks are sold.

Fireworks are illegal in Houston. Yet, Kingwood folks think they are above the law and are more than eager to show how inconsiderate, selfish, and self absorbed they are by setting off fireworks.

If I still patrolled out here I would be writing a ton of tickets or hauling folks to jail.

None on my street. But I'm sure after last nites major let down there will be more kingwoodians popping fireworks in their neighborhoods. 4951

There was a group of younger people setting off fireworks in the middle of the KHS parking lot last night as people were leaving. The Humble ISD Police drove past them but didn't even stop... surprised me.  4951

Real good point by OP, they started around dark last night and I know the cops have more high priority calls to make, but its blatant disregard for the law. We coned off the parking lots in the past because we had to clean up so much junk but since it was on a weeknight we did not this time. Hope we dont regret it. People right behind us seemed very partial to firecrackers for most of the evening. HPD should be parked right there by the stands and tell people they cross that bayou, they are in violation. Not likely that the operators would be reminding anyone. And a few people getting those $1K tickets and bieching about it ( on sites  like this) and it will curb it some. 4951

The biggest gripe I have is the after-10 crowd when the next day is a work day.  REALLY?  Do the parents of these kids not have to get up the next day?  My hubs and my neighbor are on the road for an hour just after 5 a.m. and would be nice if they had gotten some sleep.@dac1842:  Houston has an after-10 noise ordinance.  Can that not be enforced in this situation?  GRRRRRR. 4951

It happens every year, the griping that was done last year didn't stop it from happening this year and I am sure this wont stop it from going on next year. As for the cops not giving two sh!ts its kind of like the cops that are working Marley fest where you can smoke a blunt standing next to a cop and the like they don't condone it but as long as people aren't acting out (which is subject to opinion) then they tolerate it. There are too many kids and adults who have blatant disregard for them to really care about policing. 4951
