Y'all know how much we love our Italianos. We decided to head there Thursday night for some good food. We all order and everything's goings great. Then it went downhill,literally. Food comes and I had ordered a calzone. Well our poor waiter dropped it ALL OVER MY HUSBANDS BACK! And if you have ever had one those things they are hot as hell inside. His entire back was covered in marinara sauce and cheese. Waiter profusely apologizes and says he will put an order in for another and be back asap. While waiting an very older gentleman comes to the table and says the manager will be over shortly. Kids and hubs eats. I finally get to eat. STILL NO MANAGER. Waiter comes to the table with the check and asks if we would like dessert. Hubs asks to speak with the manager. Some young guy comes to the table and asks what the issue is. Umm has No one told you?!? We tell him what happened. He has the nerve to ask if I had ate my meal. Uhh yes I was starving,when that **** finally came!!! Dude only comps us my meal and the dessert we ordered. That's it. No apology from him. Dh and I have both worked in the food business and we understand accidents happen but to have to sit and wait for a manager to stop by and apologize and not apologize is just bad business. We're not real impressed with how that entire situation was handled. 4951

They could have been sued if your husband had any injuries due to that hot sauce on his back.  That is crazy about no apology and small comp.  I have had restaurants comp my tables bill for way less than that.   Hope your husband is ok from the hot sauce. 4951

Very poorly handled. Must be a young inexperienced manager. A good seasoned manager would have (1) been paying attention to what was going on (2) come right over without being asked (3) correctly ha does the situation.
 
This would be worth a call to the owner and bypass the little green manager who needs more experience and training.

@yankeejessica: Only comping your meal is unsatisfactory.  Italiano's should at least pay for the laundering of your spouse's soiled clothing and any resulting medical expenses as well as apologize for what happened.

I meant believe that I'm reading this!! I have recommended this restaurant to several people, but no anymore!  My husband and I went last week for dinner and waited forty five minutes.  Our waited to!d is several times that it would be only five more minutes. Come to find out,  the waiter had not even put our order in. We were very upset by that time and the manager finally came over apologizing..  He told us not to worry about the bill.  In the end we were charged with only the drinks.  I don't think we'll be going back there snymore. 4951

I don't like hearing that...😣 I don't eat out much but that was one of my favorite places...
