Human labor is not a finite resource. There will always be a demand for it.  Robotic laborers will only redistribute the demand of human labor among other fields. The price of labor will be redistributed among other occupational fields to reflect the change in demand. People will need to diversify their skillset and will need to be willing to reinvest in themselves. Zuckerberg and other "elites" are simply looking for an excuse to impose their liberal utopian vision.
@Spork: And how do you propose coal miners, couriers, cashiers and other marginally educated workers diversify their non-existent or job/industry skill set.  Reinvestment implies expenditure. Who will pay for that reinvestment? The unemployed or underemployed person will likely not be able to do so. The PRWOA of 1996 required that beneficiaries of certain public benefits either work or attend school. It did not have the intended effect because the requirements were waived if there was no work within a reasonable distance or sanctioned educational programs were not provided by the states. The work was a major problem in rural areas and the vast majority of states failed in setting up educational opportunities that they themselves would sanction. In Appalachia, there are programs to retrain coal worker as healthcare workers and in IT occupations. Lots of money spent unwisely, Those worker's traits are proving to be incompatible with acquiring the skills for those fields.
