.... can kiss my ***.  He's the person that pushed this country into a two-party system.  As I've said before, I have come to despise both parties.Republicans should not get too cocky about the mid-term elections.  Remember how the media and Democrats just KNEW that Hillary would win. 4951

Having 2 parties is better than 1 I just wish the 2 we had were actually different. It seems the fringe on both sides are running things, forcing people to pick a brand of crazy they are comfortable enough with.

Until it's not profitable to be a "public servant", I can't see it changing much. I am glad that a non career politician won last..it should have sent a message to BOTH parties, not sure it did or not.

Personally, I prefer multiple parties where after no party is unlikely to reach a majority.  Subsequent to an election alliances have to be made with unidentical parties through compromises have to be able to pass legislation.  The need to compromise will be attached to just about every issue to be addressed by the legislative and executive.  No party has been granted omniscience. 4951

@plakata:

A super-majority is pretty damn close.

I don't care how many parties there are but a split government is less likely to screw over half the constituents and force a compromise. Sadly, being able to work the middle isn't seen as a good thing anymore. 4951

I think you're a depressed Democrat. You guys win by acting republican. Clinton had a conservative message in 92 what he did in office was different. Most lies spawn from the democratic side sorry you believe them and the followers tend to be obnoxious.  4951

@BooBear: Supermajority has come closer through partisan gerrymandering but the Supreme Court has agreed to consider that issue during their next term.  If they adopt the 7% solution the shift could be significant but not a shift to any supermajority led by Ms. Pelos though it could be the likeliest result. 4951

@friday1:  Sorry, you're wrong.  There was no way that I could vote for Hillary and I couldn't bring myself to vote for Trump.  In the past, I've stated that I am conservative on fiscal issues but moderate-liberal on many social issues.  My OP clearly states that I despise both parties, so you must be imagining things.What's your reason for being obnoxious?

@Ruger5:  You agree with his uninformed conclusion that I'm a democrat?  SMH

@Retired_Engineer: I agree with most of what you say but I firmly believe, cockiness or not, (ok, and pray) that Republicans will smoke Dems in '18.
What a nasty, evil party they've evolved into huh?

@Ruger5:  I don't care who wins the mid-term elections.  Both parties have proven that they are hypocrits and serve their masters (big money) instead of the people.

@Ebola:  Who was all PO'd about the dem's input on healthcare?  In another post, I pointed out the hypocrisy of both parties for doing exactly what the other party did.  Both parties think that we have no memory of previous ploys and that it's OK to completely forget how they previously acted and then act completely opposite.
