Geez why just pick on this???? Every big event I have ever attended downtown looks like this. Runs, parades( Rodeo and Thanksgiving parades come to mind first)you name it I've seen it. Heck have you ever walked down WLH after the July 4th parade?? Yes I always wonder who raises these people??
So it's just not the Gay community ore the protesters.

Every large parade looks like this, the organizers have to budget for clean up and submit the clean up plan in their permit application.  This actually looks worse because workers have swept all of this into a long pile for removal.  Nothing different than any other large event. 4951

Well maybe Angie doesn't like the gay community? People see and hear what they want.

People busy having a good time, don't typically stop and look for a trash can.  It's unfortunate but just part of business as usual with a large event of ANY kind. 4951

I would hate to see what it is like after the Rodeo comes through that area.  lol

@Fallon:

Have you ever seen Mardi Gras in NOLO right when that shuts down?  The clean up on that is actually quite impressive.  They know what they're doing.   4951

It's not the sticker. It's the cost to taxpayers. If they take up donations I'm fine with it. Those stickers are not cheap. Pay for that crap yourself otherwise everybody will want stickers for their own day. Also makes me wonder what else are they wasting money on if they can't even understand why this is wrong.   4951

It would be nice if people would clean up after themselves, but this happens at all types of events not just the pride parade. I remember seeing similar pictures after a few different events. 4951

Even if I have a good time at some event, I don't just say, it's time to go, think I'll just drop this bag/cup/beer can or whatever right here where I'm standing.  Of course, I always return my cart too, so maybe that's just me.  Emoticon  4951
