That brings up a question for the dog owners here,,,  Do you have your pus vaccinated for the flu as part of their routine vaccinations, do you wait until they have to be boarded or left at the vet or do you not do it> 4951

@ProblemAgain: Interesting,  my previous vet made me get the Flu vaccine for Becca when she had to stay overnight?  My current vet does not think it is necessary unless she is boarded.

before boarding, dogs should be vaccinated for bordatella.  the deal with the flu vaccine is there isnt one for this flu and i would assume that is because it is a new strain and flu vaccines are rather specific 4951

If they don't have a vaccine for it I wanna know what the vets have been pushing as a dog flu vaccine for the past 5 or so years.

Glad we skipped it since apparently there is no such thing....😲 4951

We just went through a week of h e ll.
Hank went down on us. He's never missed a meal, had a bout of diarrhea, or was lethargic.
Well about a month ago he started limping bad. No strength on the back left. We rushed him to the vet. Said his acl/ knee is arthritic.
He put him on 100mg tramodol twice daily and carophin for an anti-inflammatory. Said he needs to loose 20lbs. He weighed in at 136lbs.
Jump three weeks and he stops eating. Out of the blue? I don't think so, I believe he was afraid we were putting pills in everything. It was hard to get 5 down every morning/ night. He's smart.
He does not go out like we used to and not really exposed.
Then the news broke yesterday about dog flu.
I truely believe he was going through a detox from opioids.
I had to go get my friend's dog to make him eat. Lord forbid someone eats his ham. Lol
Well mamma cooked up two racks of ribs and guess who got up and plopped down in the doorway? Lol
Before that he even refused cookies. Cookies!
The hardest was getting up 4 times a night and trying to watch him in the dark. And no he did not like getting his butt wiped. Lol
It always hit at night.
Please watch where you take your pups as you never know who passed that way, and how they care for their furry friend. 4951

there are a number of doggie diseases that can be transmitted by the dog sniffing other dog's feces. the best thing to do is keep them away from those piles and pick up any leftovers in your yard. 4951

Yes yes yes as Mr. T recently said.
I never take him to sh i tt y places. He does his business every morning, same time, in his own yard and it gets gone. Ain't nobody bringin that stuff in my house.
Everybody's shoes are checked. The only bit of tile I have is 9 larger squares at my front door, kitchen and baths.
I hollered at a girl at the beach at last artwalk. 2 spots away she let her dog dump and walked away. The other artists looked horrified and applauded when she picked it up. She did go get something. My fashion statement is the big ol grocery bag. Lol
I actually stuff empty paper towel tubes. Holds about half a dozen and I just pop it in my backpack with his bowl and water.
People find everything complicated and overbearing when all it takes is a two second prep to grab and go.

Listen you little weassle, I personally dont give a rat's *** your opinion of me or anyone else as I have way outgrown the popularity contest age.

But can you ever give a flipping reply without being a smart ***. Your the one that was quick to reply and point out there was no vaccine when someone asked if they should vaccinate there dog or not.

The first part of your reply could have got your point and opinion across just fine without being a jerk.

And yes I see you did the ignore thing on me immediately after you did more trash talk.

I feel sorry for you.
