Hi All!Did anyone hear of an alligator living in one of the Kingwood park lakes? I heard of a sighting 2 Sundays ago but was not given the details of which park lake it was so I thought I would inquire here. 4951

They could be anywhere. The Foster Mills ponds has a beaver wrecking havoc. I know there are gators at River Grove, East End and all those places bordering Lake Houston. I used to let my dog swim in the little cove on Scenic Shore in Kings Point until I saw "gator tracks" on the bank opposite of me- no more 4951

LOL...these kind of questions make me laugh a little, especially since Kingwood is kind of surrounded by lakes, rivers, swamp land etc.  we are on their turf.  Kind of like the article where a lady wanted animal control to come out and trap the bobcat she saw in the woods...😳 4951

Either last year of the year before, the guy that runs the propane/U-Haul place on Northpark found one in the median ditch at the Russel Palmer light.  As has already been said, if it's a waterway that's connected in any way to Lake Houston...and that includes all of our little bayous...there's a potential for gators.  4951

They are in the lakes and rivers here and they do show up in different places after flooding or heavy rain sometimes.  I occasionally see them in the ponds on golf courses where I have never seen them before, so they could turn up in any pond in the area.   4951

We also have bald eagles in the area, which seems to freak people out when they first see one.  There used to be a pair that nested and hunted down around Otter Point in East End Park.  I've paddled out there a few times to just sit and watch them hunt the fish.  They are amazing to see.  I'm not sure if they are still around as it's been a couple of years since I've been out there.  4951
