Hey All,Looks like we had a spam attack last night and this morning -- sorry for that! The spammers found a way to get around our spam-detection algorithm and had a field day. Although we block tens of thousands of spam attacks monthly, they found a cloud server to abuse that we had not blocked, and were able to unfortunately post with impunity. We've had a similar problem in the past, as some of you might have noticed.I've taken a couple of steps to prevent it in the future:1.) We've blocked the cloud server they were using. They could use another one, but this will at least force them to search for another one.2.) They used certain phrases in their texts that is critical to their spam's effectiveness, that normal KDC'ers would never use...so I've written code to automatically block messages with that text in them. 3.) The code now tries to detect if there is Chinese text in the post, and if there is, rejects the message.I've written the code for the above and tested it somewhat, but it may need tweaking to make it 100% solid against spammers while they test for weaknesses...if it comes back, we'll tweak the code again to put a stop to it.Thanks everyone for your patience,--J
