I've been hit with allergies pretty bad this past week.  This morning was the first morning I woke up feeling fairly normal. Sinuses are swollen but no hacking cough. I never had allergies when I was a kid.  Now, we can't even have real flowers in the house or a real Christmas tree without my sinuses getting all stuffed up. 4951

I cleaned up so much pollen off the porch this weekend. I'm surprised I am not dying today. Glad you're feeling better! Are you taking anything for it? 4951

Pool had a yellow sludge floating on the water.  Cleaned the pool filters twice in the last three weeks, they keep getting plugged up with pollen...damn trees. You just need to move.  My son suffered badly from allergies up north.  Down here, nothing.  Change of pollens might work for you. 4951

I had bad allergies from my teens to late 20's.  Once we moved to Kingwood I stopped having issues with them, at least until the Oak Pollen count is extremely high. 4951

Hubby has always had allergies, up North, or down here, still had them. I never had any until we moved to TX. The first was a reaction to blooming yuccas. 4951

@gigem09:  Thanks!  We tried a couple of different things. They each helped a little but still left me feeling stopped up.   Finally, Mucinex liquid-tabs seemed to help the most.

I just recently started having problems with allergies, although I'm not sure what exactly my triggers are. Even my Lil Bit is having issues with them. I guess that's why I don't mind the quick rain showers we get sometimes. It may be steamy later, but at least the pollen is washed away!

It's pollen and leaves.  I have cleaned up five 50-gallon cans worth of leaves from my driveway and front lawn.  Now they're again loaded with leaves. 4951

I was blowing and sweeping these things up after the storm the other day. I told my 5 year old that these were 'worm skeletons' and asked if he would help me. The look on his face - so funny! Disgust, shock, and sadness all at once! 😂

@bp2018: That cartoon reminds me of when I went to LA Tech.  That area was strong Bible-belt and very conservative.  We had "dorm-mothers" that made room-checks every day.  You could have a girl visitor in your room, but your door had to be open and there were only certain visitation hours. The area was dense in pine trees and I would ask our dorm-mother why didn't the town do something about all the pine trees ejaculating their pollen and having tree sex.  I asked her that several times and she then tried to avoid me.
