They were still around when I started driving by my family sent me to Safeway Driving School long before they became the big business that they are now. Will always remember SMOG.

I did mine in the 90s at Kingwood Highschool and we totally used the sims. They had them in a Tbuilding out back, They looked like these.Loading Image... 4951

ME!  Those were a total waste of time and money.  It would have been better if they just sent us out in the car and give the kids in the backseat a fake steering wheel. 4951

Before my time. We had classroom handbook, paperwork first, actually a full semester class during the school year, received our learners permit, then learned in a real live car. 4951

Ours were in like a mobile home, and they hauled it around to the 3 highschool's, once each semester. So you got the Sim., when it was at your HS.
Ours even had a clutch pedal to teach manual, but we never used it. 4951

They brought the trailers out and parked them between the main building and the annex..Leo sat beside me. I'm not saying anything happened but I saw the potential and ran with it. 4951
