Hello everyone,I prepared the Classic Poached Eggs today, so I was wondering about your interests in cooking. I would like to share with you all a simple restaurant-worthy poached eggs recipe which can be made in 5 min. I found it as one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten.Ingredients:> 2 eggs> 1 tbsp (15 mL) white vinegar> 1 whole grain English muffin, split and toasted> Pinch fresh ground pepper Directions:Bring a saucepan of water just to the boil. If it starts to boil, reduce heat so it is barely simmering. Crack an egg into a small bowl. Stir the vinegar into the water. Lower the bowl with the egg in it close to the water and gently slip the egg into the water. Repeat with remaining egg. Let eggs cook for about 3 minutes or until whites are set and yolks are soft, leave in longer for a firmer poached egg. Using a slotted spoon, remove eggs, one at a time. Place one egg on each muffin half and sprinkle with pepper to serve. TIPS: Use poached eggs to top salads or cooked vegetables such as asparagus or green beans. Serve up a tasty new version of eggs Benny. Top a whole grain English muffin with cooked spinach and mushrooms. Place your poached egg on top with a dollop of tzatziki or 0% fat Greek yogurt.Read more: www.physiomed.ca/blo g/healthy-eating-rec ipes/classic-poached -eggs/ It’ll be cool if anyone shares their favourite recipe here Emoticon 4951

You can use other types of vinegar to give your eggs a little different flavor. 4951

@Frieda258:  If you look at the left side of the page and click on "Extras", you will see a list of things including "Recipes".  I've tried several things from there and there are some good one.  I mostly like to cook Cajun foods.  Unfortunately, I don't measure anything and add ingredients by eye or by smell.I've never had poached eggs, but I might give this a try!

They are really good with steamed asparagus, and i use a little paprika instead of pepper. 4951

Usually poached eggs are put into an ice bath immediately after taking them out of the boiling water.  This stops the cooking process and keeps the yolk from over cooking. 4951

I saw a fun recipe on Facebook that I thought I'd try. Poach an egg in plastic wrap, stuff inside an avocado, wrap in bacon and fry. Sounds easy and delicious. Mine didn't quite turn out so well..

@FoFa:  On the main things I like to cook, I have taken a stab at estimating quantities of ingredients and writing them down.  My wife has followed a couple of my "recipes" and they turned out pretty good. I loved the Justin Wilson cooking show.  When he added salt, he would pour it in his palm.  Periodically, he would proved to the audience that he had the right amount by pouring it from his palm into a measuring spoon.  We was usually very close.  Pig snouts?!?  I usually forget them.  Emoticon
