Best places ever for catfish (1) and (2) are a bit of a drive and a bit of a DIVE but awesome, and worth it!!!!

(1) Sudie's in Pasadena, off Spencer and BW8- 4910 Spencer Hwy

(2) Monument Inn - just over the ferry - 4406 Indpeendence Pwky, LaPorte, TX

(3) Landrys - 45 @ the corner of Woodlands Mall complex

(4) I've also heard that The Catch, 6730 Atascocita Road, has awesome food

(5) Zachary's also has fried catfish, but maybe not all of the fixings that a full-time seafood place, like the ones above, will offer. 4951

Had dinner at Cedar Landing last night.  The catfish / shrimp combo was very good.  They seem to have improved over the last time I was there. 4951

We went to The Catch for the first time tonight. I will agree, it was great. Crawfish wasn't our favorite but fried shrimp and catfish were wonderful. The staff is great as well. You actually get to experience friendly customer service there. It was a pleasant surprise. 4951

I know it's not an exact answer to your question, but Friday nights @ Catfish King in Livingston is Unlimited Catfish and fried shrimp. Plus a nice salad bar. 4951

Sudie's in Pasadena is probably the best around, but they have peculiar hours.  Check before you drive there.  I've been saying we need a good catfish place around here.  Once you get to Livingston and north, there are plenty of good catfish places.  When we go to visit relatives in north Louisiana or Arkansas, we always tank up on fried catfish! 4951

I only like whole, fried catfish. Was a place in Plano called Big Shuckers, or Mama Shuckers or something like that was pretty good for whole fried catfish.I recall a couple places on the SW side of town back in the day that were pretty good also. 4951

@FoFa:  The little fish place we go to in the very corner of NE LA is a buffet and they have whole fried catfish, fried catfish fillets, broiled catfish, plus a big variety of other things.  The place stays busy so the food is always hot.
