This is mine:

Its hard to find ones that aren't loaded with sugar....and this brand isn't.

I don't like it when the tomatoes taste like ketchup.

....go!

I usually end up stopping by a Mexican restaurant when I want salsa or serve it for a party. There just aren't any store-bought brands that I like. 4951

We usually use salsa in recipes, rarely as a stand alone. So, I buy the HEB brand or Pace. I like the fresh flavor of Herdez. My hubby makes an AWESOME salsa, so if we're planning on eating it with chips, that's our go-to. 4951

I haven't gotten it in a while but this verde salsa tastes like any mexican restaurants green salsa. I know they tend to be thicker and the restaurant but this salsa has the flavor just like any restaurant. Just enough heat kick to it too.   Loading Image... 4951

Restaurant salsa -- Gringo's all the way. Their red and green sauces are out of this world.Chuy's has good fresh tasting salsa but sometimes it's too hot for me.I like the salsa at Cilantro's, too. 4951

If you like an acidic tomato salsa, try Herdez (medium for me).  I just wish they put cilantro in their salsa.  I love cilantro! 4951

@Retired_Engineer: Herdez is so fresh that I've actually had it go bad on me in the fridge. It's so good.

Wrights of Texas, hands down. They're local and family owned, from Katy. I like the medium salsa but they have habanero hot and also a green salsa. Only HEB carries it and it's in the refrigerated section where the yogurts are. I don't even really like salsa that much but I love Wrights!

@HoofHearted:  I haven't bought it since the new HEB opened.  At the old one it was crammed up way at the top in a little corner.  I always felt that location was doing the brand a huge disservice.  It is good! 4951

My oldest boy just got back about an hour ago from working a job in El Paso, where my folks live, and delivered 5 dozen homemade tamales and 3 jars of homemade salsa. It was actually 6 and 4, but I let him keep a dozen tamales and a jar of salsa as a "tip" for delivery. I know you said "store bought", but it doesn't get any better than Mom's cooking!! Yum!! 4951
