Any recommendations for someone to help with flowerbed cleanup?  After two years of neglect bc of elderly parent issues,  ours are horrible.  Hubby works too many hours to do it, and my back won't let me dig and pull.  Everything else we can do....last guys I used took out everything, including my perennials.  I think there was a language barrier.  Plus, they charged a ridiculous amount of money.TIA!!! 4951

We usually use our lawn mower guy, Benjamin Sarabia 281.413.3605.  He's not cheap but they do a good job.  The freeze killed some plants and will need to be replaced.  Others need to be trimmed and they should come back OK.  We may buy the plants and have him plant them.  They tend to scrimp on the bark mulch (I think they all do) so we may also buy that as well and have them spread it. 4951

Don't go crazy pronouncing plants dead just yet. You may be surprised how they will bounce back.

...at least that is what I want to think when looking at my plants. 4951

@Annie:  That's my problem!  I have lots of perennials and they always come back from the ground up.  But the leaves, dead tops, etc need to come out along with the weeds that were still flourishing before the freeze.  So do the renegade plants I don't want that have invaded.  Last time we paid for a cleanup the guys couldn't recognize the good plants from the bad ones.  They all went.... 4951
