The suspect took the deputy on a quick, scenic, motorcycle tour around the north side of Kingwood yesterday evening before being stopped by a traffic accident on Northpark. Last night (1/31/17) around 5PM, a
Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable Deputy observed a motorcycle with no license plate. He attempted to make a traffic stop, at which time the driver turned to look behind him and took off. The deputy advised dispatch that the suspect had fled and a pursuit ensued. Speeds reached around 50 MPH as the motorcycle led the deputy through a subdivision and onto Northpark Dr. This continued until the suspect came upon an accident which Houston Police were already on-sene working. An HPD officer stepped out into the street, forcing the motorcycle to stop. The Pct. 4 deputy arrived shortly after and took the subject to the ground to arrest him. As he did, a gun fell out of the suspect’s boot. The driver was identified as Dillon Jay Shaffer (25, Kingwood). A search of Shaffer’s backpack found scales, baggies and pipes. A total of 5 baggies tested positive for Methamphetamine, with a weight of 103.41 grams. Also recovered were pills and a bag with just under an ounce of marijuana. After identifying the 2013 Honda CB500 motorcycle, it came back stolen out of Conroe P.D. He was also wearing a GPS ankle monitor on his left leg…Courtesy of the Montgomery County Courts.
