How is it that every time Trump does something contrary to what he previously promised or does something damaging, people make excuses for him? It's almost like Trump-ites are afraid to back down from supporting him because they feel like ignoramuses for voting for the orange cotton ball. 4951

For exampleEmoticoneople saying that "America is Great Again" when he's created so many problems for people.People saying that Trump is fulfilling his promises when -- in fact -- *isn't* going to ditch the Affordable Care Act and when he obviously can't make Mexico pay for the wall.Just to name a few.You know, maybe it's not so much making excuses as it is downright lying. 4951

Well it would be easy to argue that America is greater today than it was 10 days ago-Repeal & replacement is still a repeal. The replacement will not resemble the current mess. I would call this a "wait & see" "to early to tell" topic-The wall, well he is on week number 2, judgment seems a bit premature on your part.-After all look how well 8 years of "Yes we can" turned out. 4951

And your source of information?

when he obviously can't make Mexico pay for the wall

That is not true, there are ways he could. But quite frankly, we don't care as long as there IS a wall.
That's the part the left doesn't really get i don't think. They keep harping on Mexico paying for it, and we just really care it's built.

We're dealing with a whole new level here. Trump is insane. He's doing things Obama wouldn't have considered because they're so dangerous and anger-inciting. I mean, banning Muslims from 7 different countries?! Talk about a way to ruin relations. And people just go along with it like he isn't seriously endangering people.... 4951

You need to read the article, not just the headline....Emoticon

@jingleheist... Did he come out and say he's Not repealing the ACA. Seems he heading that way already. How much did you get done by the beginning of your second week of your last new job. Probably not much.

banning Muslims

@jingleheist:

Just to be clear, no matter what the media says, he didn't ban Muslims, he banned countries with state sponsored terrorism.

Slight (yuge) difference there. 4951

Nothing in the order says Muslims. This was the list of countries Obama already tapped as a problem. Trump did something about the problem Obama already identified as problems. The wall is getting built. Already putting out bids for vendors. Mexico will pay for it. Many ways to make them pay without them writing a check. We could tax phone calls to and from Mexico at 2% and that would pay for it. Many ways to squeeze it from them. 4951

@FoFa: Hm...yes, I could have said that better. My fault on that.My point is that he's causing so many problems yet Trump supporters seem very complacent about it.  4951

Whether you in your heart feel that he something comparable to the second coming you can't help but agree he is nothing more then a fear monger and above all certainly does not meet the accepted definition of a statesman.Fear mongering by attempting to organize the populace into the hate of a common religious group brings back memories of the other megalomaniac in Germany of the thirties.Just one little supposedly innocent incident at a  time cam easily lead to a totaldictatorship.Is that what we want?  4951

@beastmode: I'd say that's a rather shoddy way of making Mexico pay. 4951
