The media says waste of time and tax payers money (like they really care)
Civil rights groups think it will lead to voter id, and day out of not necessary.
Now here is where i find it gets interesting.
Congress says the is no indication (according to the news media?) There was any voter fraud. So Congress does not approve of Trump investigating it.

That's a red flag for me.

Let's do this!
Maybe nothing, but we should know for sure.

I mean how much did we spend on Russia maybe hacking, vs the DNC corruption?

They know there is voter fraud. That has been proven already. What they don't want to know is the extent of it. They don't want to know it because it's more than likely a disturbing figure.I know if I was an illegal I would have made an effort to vote in this election. Why would I sit on the sidelines when there is really nothing to lose. Certainly not going to arrest me.     4951

@beastmode: Wouldn't it save money in the long run to just assume there is fraud and spend our money and time on figuring out and implementing ways to prevent it. I think we need to do this at some point anyway don't we?

@Veritas:

I actually agree! lol .., everyone knows there is voter fraud. I think just having voter ID would stop this. Money would be spent better on having the IDs. 4951

The law should be that once  you are registered to vote and you do not vote you should be wiped off the voter registration list.  If you want to vote in the next election you must register again.Better yet have a law similar to Australia's. If you register and do not vote you are fined.That would just create another headache when it came to collect the fine.  Will check with Aussie friends to see how it is done down there. 4951

@Veritas: Sample 10% in counties with the most illegals. That sample will give a good indication of what is going on. If it shows uncommon fraud then implement a plan to stop it next time. That way we won't have to have this discussion every 4 years of yes there is and no there is not.   4951

@FoFA1.  What the DNC did intraparty is much like what the RNC tried to do.  They were incompetent.2.  The video and audio clips being shown, even on Fox and Newsmax have Republican leadership, and not, saying that fraud can and must happen, but saying there is nothing to support 3-5 million illegal votes.  I have not heard, maybe you have, any of them suggest even 1 million out of the about 150 million votes cast.3.  It is silly but...obsession with alternative facts may not always be inconsequential or only an expense 4951

@beastmode: Maybe the illegals do not have your criminal instincts.  What about legal non-citizen immigrants.  Were those lining up to vote?  If they did, who did they vote for?

Maybe they don't but if they have been here 10-20+ plus years I seriously doubt they would be whatever, what will be will be.  4951

And if you've been here 20 years and you haven't stood in line to become a citizen then shame on you. You shouldn't be allowed to vote. 4951

@beastmode: Who knows but I know a retired Federal judge who spent 20 minutes outside Eagle Pass convincing an ICE genius his IDs were not fake.  The supervisor that arrived recognized the retired judge.  Being of Italian descent he does look latin.  3 years ago, his anger has not subsided much.  100 degrees with palms on the hood he was not expecting.

@FoFa:

I was thinking it was a waste of money , but after reading about how many illegals are in Ca, they should look into it. Ca protects the illegals to the point of hiring Eric Holder to fight for them to not be deported and as a sanctuary city. I do wonder how many are really there. Ca says about 2.5 million but there's no way to know. I understand people wanting to live here. Most of us have no problem with that just do it the right way. Become a citizen, just do it right. 4951
