It is said the 200+ arrested are facing up to 10 years in prison and a 25K fine due to it being in D.C. makes it a federal offense. I can only hope this is true! 4951

I asked a friend in DC the demographics of the vandals/protesters -- "65% millennials and 35% grandparents: 40% white, 25% black, 25% Hispanic and 10% other". 4951

I guess they didn't get the memo that says there is soon to be a new head of the Justice Department.  Less likely there will be mercy tolerance for these terrorists😠 4951

@FoFa: If asked they would not even be able to tell you who Obama's VP was so what the hell do they know about what they are supposedly protesting and destroying things for.  These are nothing more than domestic terrorist and should be caught and locked away in a gitmo style prison. 4951

Protest needs to be peaceful.

Trump just became president. If someone is to be blamed for discontent of why things are the way they are it would be Obama.

Remember Obama was the one who bailed out the banks. Hillary went along with him.

You may no like Trump for things that he has recently said, but he is not responsible for the current state of the economy.

Hillary got too comfortable with the status quo and that is why she lost .. The election was a referendum. A change of regime.. We now went from most left wing to most ring wing ideologies.

I couldn't call Trump 'most right wing...' -- he's practically a democrat -- probably got a lot of Bernie votes for a reason.
He's barely pro life, he couldn't care less if you are gay or straight....
I grant his cabinet choices may give you that idea, but the bottom line is Mr. Trump has enough reasons to give both sides cause for concern. The reason he won? Only God knows. 4951

@FoFa:

It's not easy to charge people based on video evidence when their identities are concealed. But many were arrested anyway. Last time I checked, 217 people were arrested and charged with rioting. It is a federal felony offense that carries up to 10 years in prison. This administration was elected on a law and order platform, so I doubt the new head of the Justice Department declines to prosecute. 4951

@Spork:

I hope they make an example out of every one of these ******! I am tired of the citizens, business owners and police officers sitting there with their hands tied! Why should anyone harm an officer while they are trying to keep law and order in the streets? I have news for the left. There are Republican, Liberterian and even Democrats that are police officers. They might agree with your stance, but they are there to uphold the law. They want to be able to provide for their families and see them when they go home. They don't want to be out of a job, on disability pay, and no chance to work any outside jobs, because some ****** wants to have a temper tantrum. It is time we take back our freaking streets!!! 😠😠😠 4951

@Max57: Because anyone with a pulse was sick of the establishment, only caring how they line their own pockets.........  We needed a real change, not the BS Hope & change that Obama vomited, but never came thru with!

If anyone ever wondered if these domestic terrorists can be reasoned with: Starbucks CEO, Howard Schultz, endorsed Hillary Clinton. Starbucks is fond of branding themselves with liberal causes. Yet these likely Clinton supporters (and domestic terrorists) seem to unwittingly always go after Starbucks to vandalize. 4951
