I can't believe people are asking for a trader Joe's to come to Kingwood.....

1.) The last thing we need is another grocery store.

2.) Trader Joe's is the worst. It's overpriced, and they don't have real groceries.

3.) We need more local businesses.We don't need more big chains.

4.) We need more art or cultural things to move here. 4951

That would be nice however Kingwood did not support what it had a number of years ago thus it is no more.

Those are not supported very well... I can count at least 10 +/- that have opened and soon closed in the past 3 to 5 years.

@Andreweggplant:

I think that's because the mini-van-driving, costco-shopping, inhabitants are too scared to try new foods and experiences. Nope, they prefer plain and predictable. 4951

They only work in places with new age artists, surf boarders and people who are frightened to death by Jiffy peanut butter. None of that going on around these here parts. 4951

@joshWa!: no it's because the new small businesses failed to develop a good business plan and have enough capital.

@ZMAN: 3 buck chuck is evidence of inflation.  2 buck is more like it. 4951

You hush! I love that store! They have a nice selection and it is very reasonably priced. We may have plenty of Krogers, Randall's and HEBs so the least they can do is give us ONE Trader Joe's. There customer service is out of this world! The last time I couldn't find something, I asked the guy in produce where to find the missing item. He started to walk away from what he had been putting out to help me find the item. I told him he didn't have to stop, he could just point me in the right direction, and he said, "Oh, no, ma'am. It's no problem. I will help you find it."

Bought something you didn't like? Bought the wrong thing? Don't have your receipt? No problem! You will get a full refund with no questions asked. 4951

@ExBlue: It's a good store but it's a niche place and that niche would be very tiny around here. When I lived in Salt Lake and SoCal it was packed but completely different market than here.   4951
