@FoFa:

I think he's saying that the property being cleared down off Hamblin where it crosses under 59 will continue to be Edgewater Park...although I didn't realize it had a name until I googled it...and will have a boat ramp with parking.  I think he's also saying that the trail that runs along the SanJac is now open...there was discussion last year about tying that into big trail system that goes down through Jesse Jones, etc.That's just my best guess.  Hopefully OP will come back and splain himself.  4951

That is what he was saying.  I think the boat ramp is still there but needs to be improved.  Park will join up the spring creek trail and starts on the southwest side of the 59 bridge.  Good use for that land I think. 4951

@Steven H:

I don't think there's any reason to forget it.  To the contrary, I think you brought good info on a topic that interests a lot of us.  I don't think @FoFa was trying to be derogatory in any way at all.  He was just not making out what you were trying to say.  Speaking for myself, I can tell you straight up that I'm prone to typing out a long dissertation on something, reading it to make sure it says what I want it to, posting it with confidence, and then coming back a bit later and thinking "wtf was I thinking?  this makes no sense!".   Please jump back in and let us know if mine and @kingwooddiscgolf's assumptions about your post are correct. 4951

A lot of coin was spent clearing that large plot of land, very thick wooded growth and there is also other work being done like installing drainage yet there is no news on it. They should let the public know what is going on formally. For one, that is a serious flood zone, one of the worst in the nation. Second, impact on traffic if they plan to improve it with commerce. As for a park or a trail awful idea. It has flooded numerous times in the past decade and it will again. It's basically a river flood plain.    4951

Didn't we have a long discussion about this several weeks back? Park as some sort of compensation for the nasty contamination way downstream. 4951

@beastmode: The land has been a private park forever and the trail is already built.
