For those that go to both, I'm just wanting a quick comparison.

What are the similarities?

What does one have or do better than the other? 4951

@donnatella: Amedeo's is consistent.  Not great but that should not be expected given the dearth of quality competition.  Tony should venture out of the safe.Raffa's has deteriorated and has become stale since Dave departed.  I compare it to paint by numbers versus a blank canvass and a muse.  I don't know if the chef is not adventurous or if it is Tony limiting the chef.  Whichever it is, boring. I think that unadventurous and therefore boring describes the restaurant situation in Kingwood.  A location that brings in pop-up dining events is a good idea waiting to fail. 4951

I've always liked Amedeo's better. Raffa's feels more like a chain to me.  4951

I agree with @fallon, but you usually can not go wrong with either.
Or with chimmichurris (boy I butcher that spelling).

since Dave departed

@mulmye:

But if Dave were still working there, he might not have had time to make this wonderful cake for my birthday last year.  And yes, it tasted as good as it looked: 4951

Amedeo's is my favorite!  Consistently good food for many years!  Tony Raffa is the owner is very pleasant & visits with his guests.  I like the "Cheers" style bar!
Jazz  night is the last Thursday of the month & Happy Hour is 3-6 PM during the week.

A wonderful place to have dinner or just drinks & appetizers! 4951

I have only been to brunch at Raffa's a few years ago and was not impressed.  Not a lot of choices and it was pretty expensive.  That was what my DD picked after church for her birthday but I don't think I would pay that amount again.  I have never been to Amedeo's but save the coupon every time they come in the mail thinking one of these days we will.  My nephew used to be a waiter there before he went to college and my whole family said the food was the best Italian around. 4951

Both are very good. High dollar but we don't go there for the $1 menu. Usually only go for special occasions.    4951

Both good. I really like the family packs at Amedeos. I had to throw the order of alfredo chicken on the scale the other night because it was so heavy. It weighed 8 pounds. They also gave me a salad for four and a 20 inch loaf of garlic bread all for 37 bucks. Incredible value and it took 3 days to finish.

@SwaggyG: I never knew about this.  Tell me more please?  Do they have a website with a menu?
