I love that!! Good for them. That's a great help for some who don't feel comfortable. That should be in every bar. 4951

@Jeff1928:

No need for that - those women usually wait until you've let them move in with you before showing off their crazy. 4951

Instead of code language just pony up girls. Tell him it aint gonna work out and leave. Drive the long way home. Rule of thumb in starting any online relationship. Never let them know where you live 4951

True enough... if Hooters was on option for a first date I would stay home with the dog...

@Andreweggplant: Maybe she has a fun personality and a great sense of humor. Maybe they talked about it before hand, and thought it would be a great neutral ground meeting place for a casual first meet. It's certainly not a romantic place, but I can see reasons why it COULD be chosen.

They had a KDC ladies meet up there. I wanted to go but couldn't, but thought it was a cool idea.

@donnatella:

Most women going on a first date would not find it attractive. Not bc it's not romantic, it's a place like a sports bar for men to look at skimpily dressed women. Eh, boring. Among other things. Now if two people want to for some of the lesser likely reasons you stated, have at it. But in general, first dates won't be happening there.

Why do you like it for a ladies meet up, vs. anywhere else? What's fun about it? I was there once, not impressed, boobs were not as good as mine. LOL 4951

No @donnatella, gotta say, any first date at Hooters, is a sign that the lady needs to find another date.  Post haste.Love this idea.  It is a shame we need it.@friday1, more women should speak up, but they don't.  Not sure if we are just taught from an early age to be people pleasers or what the hell is wrong with us.  But you rarely find any young women that would stand up to a man on a first date.  They may be thinking all sorts of things, and getting all kinds of wrong feelings about the guy. But they stick with it.   We are given a whole range of feelings.  And one of those most ignored by women, is danger.  We know that walking in a parking lot at night isn't safe, but hey we do it.  We help the stranger if they ask us.  It is unreal.  Just look at the crime stats and you see my point.  And when women do stand up, and are outspoken, they are bioteches. @TheTruthHurts, I agree, women should arm themselves.  And not just with guns.  Self defense, and not the nice kind.  You need to go to a street fighting class.  It is all about fighting dirty.  That is the only way you win.  Even then, most women are still at a disadvantage due to size.  I think more women need to get their info off of social media and use some form of critical thinking to keep themselves safe.  Maybe put their phones down in general and pay attention to their surroundings.

@Fallon:

Women are taught to be more of the peace keepers, and people pleasers bc society thinks that's lady like and we are ***** if we don't. But you're right. It can and should be done with respect and authority. I always feel guilty and "bad" when I finally have to shut some guy down after repeatedly trying not to be "forceful" by simply saying no.

They need a program for doormat recovery training. Lol
